Controversy arose when it was made public that Sarah Palin’s entry at Wikipedia had been substantially edited by a single user within the 24 hours before Palin was announced as McCain’s choice for running mate.

My guess is that McCain will get enough of a bump to take back narrow leads in Virgina, Florida, and possibly Ohio.

As Governor, Palin is chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, a multi-state government agency that promotes the conservation and efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources while protecting health, safety and the environment.

She was a member of the Wasilla, Alaska, city council from 1992 to 1996 and mayor from 1996 to 2002.

She created Alaska’s Petroleum Systems Integrity Office to oversee and maintain oil and gas equipment, facilities and infrastructure, and the Climate Change Subcabinet to prepare a climate change strategy for Alaska.
